Teams (all members) competing in the Elite, Rx and Scaled divisions that wish to compete as an ‘eligible’ team must train primarily at that team’s gym (whether a CrossFit affiliate or not) for the duration of the season. Teams in these divisions may also elect to be ‘in-eligible’ meaning (in-short) these teams ara still able to compete for the entirety of the weekend, however will not eligible to podium or receive prizes for respective placings. Masters teams do not have an eligibility criteria, meaning (in short) all teams are eligible for a podium and the accompanying prizes.

  • There is no restriction on the number of teams a gym or Affiliate may enter.

  • Team Nationals requires that each team provide a judge for one (at most) heat per event. Notably, in 2024 the requirement to judge will not be the heat following the one your team has just competed in. From this year on, teams will be provided a judging schedule similar to a heat timetable where they will be required to provide a representative to act as a judge. This person must be willing an able to preform the duties expected of them, they must attend the event briefing with the team they are scheduled to judge, and must be present for the duration of the event.

  • Elite, Rx, Scaled teams: $690NZD (plus processing fees)

    *Stripe processing fees are 2.7% + NZ$0.30

  • Athletes must be at least 14 years old by the day of registration. No athlete under the age of 14 may register to compete. Any athlete younger than 18 years old will be required to provide additional parental consent during the online registration.

  • It is recommended that teams use previous years workouts and example events published by the events team (via social platforms) as a guideline.

In 2024 there WILL NOT be an open water swim programmed for Team Nationals.

  • Up until the point your team registers in October you can change team members as often and/or as many times as you like.

  • Your teams’ passes (these you will receive at registration in October) double as a spectator pass. That being said, our goal for competitors is to provide the most memorable experience possible. By prioritising your competivitive experience we can not guarantee you will have the same viewing experience as someone who attends solely as a spectator.
