EVENT 6

For Load:

1RM Squat Snatch

1RM Squat Clean & Jerk

(8min cap)

On the sound of 3,2,1… Go! Competitors will have four minutes to establish their one rep max Squat Snatch. Once four minutes elapses the competitors will then move to and be given four minutes to establish their one rep max Squat Clean & Jerk.

Notes:

  1. At all times competitors must be within their marked area.

  2. This Event will be scored by the total combined weight of the best successful S.Snatch and S.Clean & Jerk.

  3. Competitors may have as many attempts as they wish, and increase or decrease the weight as they like.

  4. Bumpers and collars must be correctly loaded for the repetition to be counted.

MOVEMENT STANDARDS

Squat Clean & Jerk:

The Barbell is to be loaded with the clips securely fastened. The competitor starts standing behind the bar, lifts the bar until the hips, knees and shoulders are in-line, at the same time the elbows must be in front of the Barbell. The competitor must Squat Clean whereby the barbell is received in a full squat hip crease below the top of the knee. The Jerk may be completed as a Shoulder to Overhead in anyway. The Barbell will move from the front rack position to a fully locked out overhead position, where the hips, knees, shoulders and elbows are locked out and inline. And the feet are placed side by side under the hips. The repetition is complete when locked out overhead under control. The competitor may clean the bar and continue from the front rack position to locked out overhead without extending during the clean. This is a two-phase movement. 

Squat Snatch:

The Barbell is to be loaded with the clips securely fastened. The Barbell is to be moved from the ground to locked out over head so that the feet, knees, hips, shoulders, elbows and hands are in line and locked out. The competitor starts standing behind the bar, the competitor lifts the bar, and in one continuous motion catches in a squat with hip crease below the knee and arms fully extended at the elbow overhead. They then stand until the hips, knees and shoulders are in-line.
